5 ways to take your business online right now
Have you been seeing other people taking their business online and thriving with it? Wondering how you can transition all or just a part of your business to operate online? Maybe you want to add an additional income stream or want to add some passive income to your business? Even if you just want to share your knowledge with the world, there is definitely a way to take all or part of your business online, right now! Let’s dive into a few different ways you can do this…
online shop
Creating an online shop for your products is a great way to take your business online. You can host your shop exclusively online, like in an etsy shop, or you can take your in-store products and offer them online as well ( there are POS systems that will track both in-store and online inventory - do your research and see what works best for you). Whether you sell clothes, home decor, stock photos, jewelry, or blankets - you can easily make an online shop and start selling your products to people all over the world.
e-book
If you like to write and have something you are dying to share with the world, an e-book is the perfect way to do it! No need to deal with publishers or printing - just type up your book, create a digital pdf, and start selling it on your website as an instant download! The beauty of this is that it’s fairy easy to create after you write (Canva has some amazing templates you can use to create your book) and it is basically free for you to make (rather than your time). If you have literally $0 to work with, you can still make this happen!
Membership / Patreon
Memberships are a great way to add an online component to your business. There are memberships for just about everything these days. Social media content, stock photos, networking groups, educational platforms, coaching & mentorship, even creators on youtube have memberships (aka Patreon) where their audience can support them and get access to exclusive content. Seriously, take a little stroll around Google and see what type of memberships are out there! I whole-heartedly believe that literally any business could have a membership!
Online Course
If you love to educate others and have a tool, system, or skill that others would love to know, then an online course would be perfect! You can set it up however you’d like: from an instant download, to a dripped out sequence - there are so many options. I’ve seen people host in-depth courses on major platforms like Kajabi, and I’ve seen others create super basic courses delivered exclusively in the form of emails. There are so many methods that work, so don’t get hung up on finding the “perfect” one - focus on what it is you want to share with the world and teach it the best way you can!
digital templates
This is one of my favorite options for going digital - selling templates you’ve already created in your business. We all have something that we use as a template in our business. Maybe for you it’s a set of email templates you send to your clients, a set of social media quote designs, a client guide you’ve created, a system for organizing your files… the list goes on. What most people don’t realize is that not everyone knows how to create these for themselves or has the time - they would rather pay you to use your templates! So take a look around your business and see where you’ve created something that other entrepreneurs would love to use in their own business!
Those were only 5 ways you can start to take your business online, and they are by no means the ONLY way. There are so many other ways you can take your business online if you just do a little research and pay attention to what others inside and outside of your industry are doing! No matter what option is best for you, one thing is for sure - now is a great time to take part (or all) of your business online!
