The Senior Sessions: Erin
Senior sessions are one of my favorites to photograph and Erin’s senior session from 2018 is still one of my favorite sessions to date! This girl is not only the sweetest ever, but she was up for any crazy ideas I had, and did it flawlessly! At the time, Erin was a senior at State High, in State College, PA (but I didn’t have a blog back then, so you’re seeing it a year later while she is off at college!)
Movement
One of the crazy things I love to have my girls do, is create a lot of movement in front of the camera. I’ll ask them to run their hands through their hair, walk like a model towards the camera, and spin around until they’re dizzy. It’s definitely not you’re typical “posed” portrait, so it seems a little odd, but the photographs are filled with emotion and look REAL!
variety
The number one thing I hear from both my parents and seniors is that they want a specific type of image. Seniors want fun images to share online, and parents want the classic “looking at the camera and smiling” pose. That’s why I love to capture a variety of images during the sessions so there are images that everyone likes!
Thank you so much for getting in front of my camera, Erin! You know I always love to photograph you and have fun at our sessions! I can’t wait for you to come home from college for our next session!
